Industry Committee Recommends Withdrawal of Telecom Reform Plan

PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Saturday March 31, 2007
The Standing Committee on Industry, Science, and Technology today tabled its report on telecom deregulation.  The report is very short (one paragraph) and to the point.  The Committee:

recommends that the Minister of Industry withdraw the order varying Telecom Decision CRTC 2006-15 and table in Parliament a comprehensive package of policy, statutory and regulatory reforms to modernize the telecommunications services industry.

In other words, the Committee wants the Minister to put an end to cherry-picking from the Telecom Review Panel Report and to address telecom reform in a comprehensive fashion that addresses both economic and social regulation.  The latter may include broadband connectivity, network neutrality, spam, and other related issues.

This is known that cash makes us independent. But how to act when somebody has no cash? The only one way is to get the home loans or just commercial loan.
