Lawfont reports that the Australian government has announced plans to introduce a new resale royalty right for visual art.

... The australian scheme is very different to the scheme lobbied for by copyright agencies" It is not compulsory for artist right holders. And it only aplies to the resale of art works purchased after the schemes introduction. It is also not part of copyright it is a 'stand alone' law/sheme , it is, even in this form, too tax-like to be part of the copyright act |
