So should we all. This is scary stuff. Very draconian one-world-government legislation. I'm not prone to entertain such conspiracy theories, but this thing is scary. The US is trying to take everything that's wrong with their copyright policy and force it down the throats of the the rest of the planet. 3-strikes legislation? Really? |

Of course If you, as a country, make a horrible mistake (deciding to abandon manufacturing and instead focus on exporting "IP"), that there's really no way to reverse, what choice do you have but to try to force everyone else to follow you ? |

Whats this? A government official actually making a public statement on ACTA? http://www.cbc.ca/technology/s...a-ndp.html Looks like strong words from the industry minister on ACTA. Lets hope the government lives up to those words and that the actual legislation is congruent with the wishes of Canadian society. |
