Last week I participated in a terrific public forum on privacy and security for CBC’s The Sunday Edition. The forum was held at the Library and Archives Canada and attracted an amazing number of people for a Monday night (it was edited and broadcast last Sunday morning). Hosted by Michael Enright, other participants included Privacy Commissioner Jennifer Stoddart, the former head of CSIS Reid Morden, and Senator Raynell Andreychuk. The panel grappled with lawful access, the privacy implications of new technologies, and anti-terrorism legislation. The CBC has posted a real audio stream of the forum which is well worth a listen.
