The 171-page bill, known as Bill C-36, raised numerous cyberlaw concerns including its impact on privacy rights and cybercrime. Somewhat overlooked was the announcement that Canada will ratify an international cybercrime treaty, which will provide law enforcement with greater cross-border power to combat on-line criminal activity.
