   Doesn’t the RCMP have to inform you if they tapped your phone? Kinda strange to gag the ISP but I guess that’s to stop someone from changing ISP’s or leasing new IP’s which would halt the investigation.

   Have a look at PIPEDA , section 4.1 1). If I read it correctly, PIPEDA also allows for this.
