Avner Levin of Ryerson University has conducted a new study that finds that Canadian employers engage in widespread employee surveillance, typically with little concern for the privacy implications of such activity.

Does PIPEDA apply to universities in Canada?
I am continually warned that all my actions are monitored. Can I request to see this information? Presumably they will not comply, what then? My understanding is that PIPEDA doesn’t actually institute any penalties.
