Henshaw Asks Questions About Levies

Jim Henshaw, a well known screenwriter, has posted some interesting questions about private copying levies, the secrecy associated with revenue distributions, and the actual benefits to creators.

  1. Good questions. If the levy is so good for creators, why are there no concrete numbers other than the bulk number to support it? Who would the money actually go to in the cases of ones where the art is spread over large numbers of people? All good questions that need answers before a levy is even considered.
