B.C. Privacy Commissioner Delays Release of Outsourcing Report

B.C.’s information and privacy commissioner has delayed the release of his advisory report on how the U.S. Patriot Act could affect Canadians because of the number of responses received during his inquiry. David Loukidelis now says his report won’t be ready until mid-September.

Mauritius First African Country to Open Up VoIP

A new report finds that Mauritius has become the first African country to open its legal framework to VoIP. The report expects many other countries to follow suit with some African countries finding that at least 90 percent of their international calls are being placed in the "grey market."
