Several RIM employees (and former employees) have written about reports that the company records all employee conversations in an effort to protect its intellectual property. The employees claim that the surveillance is not widely known within the company.

Apparently this quote was taken out of context and RIM does not actually record their employees’ voice calls. More information here: http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/127824
The reason it’s not widely known is because it’s not true. RIM refuted this claim last week. You can see for yourself at:
