Charlie Angus is no surprise
Good to see Mr. Angus on there. Nobody I’d like better on that committee personally.
Dangerous Dan? Bad choice from OLO. Really bad.
I agree with Dan McTeague. He’s a well known consumer watchdog in and around his riding.
Dan McTeague speaks from both sides of his mouth…
On one hand he’s an advocate against gas companies, on the other he’s an advocate for CRIA and other large copyright regimes…

Don’t let his pro-consumer stance on gas prices fool you. That’s like coming out in favour of motherhood. Below the surface, he’s no advocate.
…
Nice to see Charlie Angus there, he is a strong voice.
Interesting to see Sylvie Boucher, she is supposed to help Moore/Clement, however she has an IT background and should know what computers, “digital” and DRM/TPM are and how they work, so she won’t be able to play the naive.
Nap.
Contact info for committee members — and what they need to hear (imho)
I’ve drafted a short post on the big problem with Bill C32 (digital locks), your suggested fix, and contact info for the committee at http://wp.me/poR4A-gh
Something I’ve argued (as in this post) is that digital locks aren’t actually intellectual property (at least, not in the traditional scope of IP law). I’d be curious to know if I’m totally off-base about this point.
Dear C-32 Legislative Committee…
…please kindly take your time to debate this thoroughly. It is a law that will affect all Canadians. It’s worth spending the time.
Thank you.
