The federal government has announced plans to spend nearly $2 million on deploying broadband in the Gaspésie region in Quebec. The money comes from the Major Economic and Tourism Facilities – Access to Broadband Services initiative.

Here in Alberta, all I got was an end-run from my MLA and silence from my MP when the Summer Village of Sandy Beach condemned my neighbors and I back to dial-up this year.
Of course, Quebec gets all the money…
…as per usual.
The only way to get Ottawa to listen to the west is turn OFF the natural gas and oil taps. THEN they’ll wake up…. hungy and cold.
