The Canadian Radiotelevision and Telecommunications Commission has approved, with one exception, an application by the Canadian Marketing Association to issue a stay on its telemarketing rules. The rules deal with the prospect for a do-not-call list and impose a series of obligations on Canadian businesses that raised privacy and cost concerns.
