Copyright law vis a vis DVD burns
What exactly is the law in Canada and the US for the following:
1. You burn a DVD of a sports game you watched to have a permanent copy. You then burn a copy for a friend. Is one or both technically breaking copyright law?
2. You have a pre-recorded DVD that is now no longer in “print.” The DVD is not copy protected. You burn a copy for anyone. Is that breaking copyright law?
