UK Conservatives Promise 100 Mbps Broadband By 2017

The UK Conservatives have promised 100 Mbps broadband service to the majority of homes in the country by 2017.

    And in Canada our government continues to give money to a few select providers who promise to build an infrastructure but don’t, and who continue to charge us some of the highest rates in the world for mediocre service.

    1.5 Mbps service typically costs $45 here. If you want higher speeds (3.0 – 15 Mbps) we usually pay around $75. One might expect that 100 Mbps service will come in at, what, about $300/mo in Canada?
