Communications Networks Falling Behind in the North

The Globe reports on how communications networks in the North are failing to meet demand. A report from the Arctic Security Working Group says private investment won’t solve the issue – public investment is needed.

  1. Looking at service coverage maps…
Telus is the only one to serve the north. Poor people 🙁

  2. Needs more fiber.
Is there any way to dig a fiber line to the north? Heck, I’m amazed no data centers are up there already given the cooler climate. The melting ice of the arctic might prompt a better road to the north so might as well run fiber along it.
