NDP MP Charlie Angus has warned Canadians to "watch out for a carefully orchestrated pageant by the trade lobbyists." The release notes that "Angus predicts that certain politicians and lobbyists will try to drum up fear over Canada’s reluctance to sign on for heavily restrictive, U.S.-style Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) legislation."

“hey charlie in case you have been asleep
we KNOW about THE RIAA/MPAA BULLCRAP”
Are you saying that the biggest avocate for net neutrality and rational copyright laws in Parliament should stop telling Canadians that they are being conned by lobbyists before the bill is even tabled?
Wow, what a great stategy.
Charlie Angus has been on this for awhile and should commended, not criticized.
Indeed
Mr. Angus deserves better treatment, to be sure.
If you already know …
… then this is a reminder to spread the word. WE know – WE are not EVERYONE.
As much as you KNOW about the BULLCRAP – Charlie Angus knows more. Here’s a paragraph from the full article:
Angus is one of the only MPs who has relied on income from copyright royalties from music, book and textbook sales to make a living. He says the New Democratic Party strongly supports fair remuneration for artists but that copyright must be looking forward to the 21st century reality rather than attempting to force consumers back to an obsolete 20th century business model.
If you aren’t into the BULLCRAP, Charlie Angus is a man you should encourage.
